The Delaware Higher Education Office (DHEO) is dedicated to providing students and families with information and resources to fund their postsecondary experience. Opportunities to pay for postsecondary education can come in many forms including federal aid, state aid, institutional aid, and local and private organizations. Students and families should explore all of these opportunities throughout their post-secondary experience.
This page provides information on some of the opportunities available to Delaware residents as they look to fund their post-secondary education.
Delaware Higher Education Financial Aid Portal
The DHEO administers seven state sponsored financial aid programs and works to assist colleges/universities with enrollment verification for student scholarship awardees. To better manage this process the DHEO has instituted a Higher Education Financial Aid Portal that students as well as colleges/universities must use to apply for and track award scholarships.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to apply for federal student aid such as federal grants, work-study funds, and loans. The FAFSA is often a requirement when applying for other scholarships. Navigate through the FAFSA® and financial aid process.
