Instructional Support

The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) is dedicated to providing high-quality resources to districts and charter schools so they can best support all students in all learning environments. K-12 districts and charter schools follow the Delaware content standards for most subjects. DDOE promotes:

  • Educational equity, which aims to ensure every student has what he or she needs to access and participate in quality learning.
  • Culturally responsive education, which intentionally acknowledges and values the diversity, contributions, and experiences of every educator and learner by providing opportunities for individuals to see themselves and others in their learning, leading to academic achievement, cultural competence, and socio-political consciousness.
