Delaware students have the following options available to complete a high school education.
James H. Groves (Groves) Adult High School Centers
Delaware students ages 16 and older who are no longer enrolled in a public, private or home school may attend James H. Groves Adult High School. Groves High School allows students to complete a high school education based on their unique abilities, interests, and aspirations. Graduates receive a State of Delaware high school diploma.
Groves High School is funded through the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) and accredited by the Middle States Association. Groves centers operate under regulation 14 DE Admin. Code 915.
GED Testing
Delaware students can earn a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma by passing the computer-based GED® exam. Review information on GED® preparation and testing.
Alternative Secondary School Program (In School Credit)
Delaware students ages 14 and older who are enrolled in a public school may attend the Alternative Secondary School Program (In School Credit Program) to gain high school credits towards Delaware’s high school graduation requirements. Course completion can result in new credits or in recovery credits. Classes are scheduled outside of the student’s regular K12 school day.
