The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) works alongside school districts and charter schools to provide comprehensive mentoring and induction support to new school staff. Supporting the state’s newest educators and school specialists – those with less than two years’ experience in Delaware public schools – is essential to ensuring all students receive the highest-quality education.
DDOE’s Comprehensive Induction Program (CIP) offers a suite of coaching cycles and ongoing professional learning over time to meet state, district and charter school goals. Through shared leadership, innovative practices, and exemplary services, the goal or aim of the CIP is to increase educator retention rates; improve professional practices, focus on growth and reflection; and, most importantly, elevate student outcomes.
