The Delaware Higher Education Office (DHEO) in partnership with the Redding Consortium Scholarship Committee administers a scholarship for eligible employees or student teachers who are actively working in an eligible Redding Consortium School and wish to pursue a degree or credential in an education program.  Eligible expenses under this scholarship are tuition and mandatory fees at a Delaware Institution of Higher Education.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Eligible employees include teachers, paraeducators, principals, nurses, counselors, social workers, student teachers, and other education support staff in an eligible Redding Consortium school.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a Delaware public or private institution (listed below).
  • Applicants must be enrolled in an education-related program.
    • Associates, bachelor’s, master’s, and graduate certificate programs are eligible for this scholarship.
    • Doctoral programs and majors unrelated to education are ineligible.
  • Eligible employees are not required to meet a minimum credit enrollment to qualify for this scholarship.

  • Educator Preparation/ARTC (Alternative Routes to Certification) programs
  • Education (general and specialty areas)
  • Educational Leadership (master’s or certificate level)
  • Mental Health Professional programs
  • Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy programs
  • School Nursing programs

How to Apply

Educators intending to enroll in coursework during the upcoming academic year may submit one scholarship application.   All applications will undergo a competitive review conducted by a scholarship committee

The availability of the scholarship is determined annually by the Redding Consortium.  Applications will be made available ahead of the upcoming academic year.  Award announcements are estimated to be made in August of every year.  Award amounts vary annually and are determined by the number of eligible applicants and the available funding.
