Relay Graduate School of Education (Relay GSE)
Relay Graduate School of Education is one of the largest, most diverse educator development programs in the U.S. We specialize in practice-based support for educators implementing High-Quality Instructional Materials like Wit & Wisdom. Our commitment to actionable, practice-based learning experiences sets us apart, offering modeling and coaching that provide educators with feedback to enhance instructional delivery, improving student outcomes and fostering equity in education.

About Our Team
The curriculum support service is supported by a dedicated team of approximately 15 facilitators and coaches. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our programs, ensuring high-quality professional learning experiences for educators. Significantly, about 70% of our facilitators and coaches identify as people of color (POC). This diversity enriches our coaching practices, allowing us to deliver culturally responsive and impactful support that meets the diverse needs of educators and students in Delaware.
Service Overview
Our expert coaches guide teachers and leaders through curriculum internalization, lesson preparation, and planning for diverse learners. Support includes repeatable internalization protocols, collaborative walkthroughs, modeling, and feedback cycles to build strong instructional habits from the start. We align closely with school and district goals and ensure teams are set up for success with the tools and practices needed to implement Wit & Wisdom with rigor and equity.
Building District Capacity
Relay GSE builds capacity by providing comprehensive, practice-based professional development tailored to each district’s unique needs. Our approach includes strategic planning, workshops, and job-embedded coaching that aligns with district goals. We focus on empowering district leaders to support teachers with impactful instructional strategies, leveraging data for informed decision-making, and creating sustainable systems that promote district wide alignment and continuous improvement. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders, we ensure that educators at all levels are equipped to deliver high-quality instruction and improve student outcomes.
Addressing Equity
At Relay, equity is at the core of our curriculum-based professional learning. We design our programs to be inclusive and culturally responsive, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education. Our training equips educators with strategies to meet diverse learner needs, focusing on culturally and linguistically sustaining practices. We emphasize the importance of using High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) to provide equitable access to rigorous learning opportunities. Our commitment to building a diverse teaching workforce further supports our mission to create a more just educational landscape where every student can thrive.
