Littera recruits tutors on the basis of their demonstrated experience and proficiency with all facets of Littera’s tutoring philosophy, including individualized support, ensuring student participation and comprehension, and social-emotional sensitivity. Every Littera tutor is thoroughly vetted, undergoes a required background check and training, and receives ongoing coaching and support. Approximately 51% of Littera’s tutors are from diverse backgrounds or underserved populations.

Littera dramatically simplifies the delivery of high-dosage tutoring, providing school districts with experienced virtual tutors, a high-touch client services team, evidence-based tutoring curriculum, and a comprehensive Tutoring Management System (TMS) platform with real-time, customizable reports and dashboards. We offer research-based high-dosage tutoring in Reading, Math, and English Language Acquisition, delivered by vetted, experienced, and consistent live tutors. Littera Education is a high-dosage tutoring company that provides onboarding, training, and support for all tutoring program stakeholders. During the training and support phase of the implementation process, the Littera team will design a training plan for key users in the district. The district will also receive guides, materials, videos, and training for teachers, students, and parents/guardians. All users will have access to the Littera Education Knowledge Center and the Littera Support Team over the course of the program.

Littera provides tutoring services that are aligned with the evidence-based principles of high-dosage tutoring, which has been proven to benefit the academic outcomes of all students in a manner that is quantifiable and equitable. As one example of Littera’s impact, in a recent third-party randomized control trial, students who received Littera tutoring made a statistically significant improvement equivalent to approximately 32% of the math that an average MS student learns in a year. Of the participants, 87% were students of color and 46% were multilingual learners.
