Back to Basics Learning Dynamics

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is a premier, local award-winning partner in education, delivering customized, results-driven support to public, private, and charter schools. We design tailored programs using district-specific HQIM or Delaware DOE-approved materials, built through collaboration with LEAs. Our virtual tutoring with a Delaware School District reached 1,800+ students, raising iReady scores by 19 points in math and 29 in ELA. With deep curriculum expertise, we serve all learners-in person or virtually-with proven success.

About Our Team

We have over 200 educators/tutors, and more than 40% of them are diverse, having served in Title I schools and with English Language Learner (ELL) students.

Service Overview

Back to Basics provides high-impact, personalized tutoring that transforms student outcomes. Our proven 1:1 and small-group model-limited to 4-5 students-ensures every learner is heard, supported, and empowered. Tutors are carefully matched to each student, building trust and consistency that drive academic gains, confidence, and self-esteem. Backed by decades of success, our instruction is evidence-based, aligned with Common Core, and rooted in nationally recognized programs like Zearn™, Eureka™, CKLA™, and Orton-Gillingham. With expert-trained educators and a focus on measurable results, we help students thrive-one lesson, one connection, one success at a time.

Building District Capacity

At Back to Basics, we take a collaborative, team-based approach to building capacity and ensuring program success. We begin by partnering with district and building leaders to align on expectations and vision, sharing our expertise to create a high-impact tutoring program. Regular meetings with district staff and classroom teachers ensure seamless coordination, while ongoing communication between tutors and teachers keeps tutoring sessions aligned with current curriculum. To engage the broader community, we market the program through flyers, social media, and parent webinars. With a dedicated project manager overseeing operations, we ensure that all stakeholders-teachers, parents, and tutors-work together to drive student success.

Addressing Equity

At Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, equity is at the heart of our mission. We deliver high-quality, curriculum-based professional learning that empowers tutors to meet the diverse needs of every student. Our educators are trained in evidence-based practices and HQIM-aligned instruction, with a focus on supporting ELLs, students with disabilities, and those facing academic challenges. Through hands-on training, ongoing reflection, and personalized tutor-student matching, we ensure meaningful engagement and measurable progress. Our robust resource library and targeted development equip tutors to create inclusive, culturally responsive learning experiences, ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed and feel confident in their growth.
