Lisa Henry
Lisa is the Department’s Chief of Staff and oversees policy development, implementation, communications, and human resources. Lisa has over 20 years’ experience reviewing and interpreting policies, regulations and laws and coordinating efforts across agencies. She spent most of her career at the Department of Health and Social Services working in the Division of Public Health (DPH) before transitioning to the Delaware Department of Education in 2023. While at DPH she was the Director of Community Health Service and managed approximately 400 people while overseeing the DPH clinical operations across the state. Lisa was also instrumental in the growth of health equity, population health and early intervention services for infants and toddlers while at DPH. During the response to the pandemic, she coordinated all community efforts across Delaware to ensure equity related to testing, vaccination, and treatment. Prior to working at DPH, Lisa was the Director of Health Policy for the Delaware Healthcare Association.
Lisa earned her undergraduate degree in Management from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, and her Graduate degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Delaware. She lives in Dover with her son, daughter, husband, and chocolate lab.
