Student Wellbeing

The DDOE is committed to empowering every student to be successful in college, career and life. This success requires both academic and behavioral supports to assure that all students and school communities are protected, connected and respected.

School Counseling

School counselors are uniquely qualified to meet the academic, social/emotional and career needs of all students. In addition to direct student interaction, school counselors promote student success through their leadership, advocacy and collaborative efforts.

School Climate and Discipline

The DDOE assists all Delaware public schools in their efforts to provide every student with a safe, secure and supportive learning environment.

School Health Services

Supports the individual health and well-being of each student through school health regulations as well as nursing services. School nurses work closely with students, their families, staff and community partners to help students fully participate in school and its varied activities.

Nutrition

Nutrition programs provide healthy food to children including the National School Lunch Program, the School Breakfast Program, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, the Summer Food Service Program, the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, and the Special Milk Program.
