Meredith Seitz

Meredith Seitz is the department’s legislative liaison. In this position she oversees education policy, legislation and regulation work as well as communications and human resources.

Meredith comes to DDOE from the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth & Their Families (DSCYF), where she served as chief policy advisor. Prior to joining DSCYF, she worked as a policy analyst and legislative aide for the Delaware House of Representatives Majority Caucus.

As a policy and legislative specialist with more than 10 years of experience, Meredith has a strong knowledge of policy issues related to education, child welfare, juvenile justice, mental and behavioral health services and social services. She works alongside policy makers throughout state and federal government, as well as community-based organizations and service providers, as an advocate for Delaware children.

Meredith earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Delaware. She lives in Hockessin with her husband and two young children.
