Rules Clinics for Officials

The DIAA is returning to “in-person” rules clinics (unless otherwise specified).  In person attendance is mandatory for all officials.  Attendance at the in-person clinic is expected, and the virtual make-up option should only be used in cases of serious scheduling conflicts.  Please reach out to your officials association to alert them about any concerns.

If an absence is approved by the DIAA, all Make-up Rules Clinics will be offered through the NFHS Learn platform.  Officials Registration and tracking of all course requirements is linked to DragonFly.

In-person Fall rules clinics are scheduled between August 2nd and August 13th (see chart below).  Make-up Rules Clinics will be available virtually from August 18th through September 15th.  Winter and spring rules clinics dates will be announced later in August.

All DIAA Sports Rule Clinics are offered through the NFHSLearn platform. Officials can also access the link through their Dragonfly account.

To access the rules clinics, follow the directions below:

  1. Go to www.nfhslearn.com and Sign In. (If you need any assistance accessing your account, click the “Help” button at the top to contact the NFHS Learning Center Help Desk).
  2. Once signed in, go to Delaware Rules Clinic (2025-2026) Course (nfhslearn.com)
  3. Make sure the state drop-down menu says “Delaware” and Click “Order Course.”
  4. Once you have completed the order process, you can find your course in the “My Courses” section of your Dashboard.
  5. Once you have completed the Rules Clinic, make sure to download your certificate for your records.
    1. AD’s – please collect certificates of completion from your head coaches
    2. Officials – course completion certificates should automatically populate in DragonFly as long as the official signs into Dragonfly and accesses the virtual clinic through their Dragonfly account.
