Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) Establishes New Competition Committee
Dover, DE – September 8, 2025 – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) has established a new Competition Committee to promote fair, equitable, and competitive play across all middle and high school sports in Delaware.
On June 12, 2025, the DIAA Board of Directors approved the formation of the committee and appointed its members. The committee held its first meeting on Thursday, August 28, 2025, and will continue to meet regularly on the third Thursday of each month, unless otherwise noted.

Dover, DE – August 18, 2025 – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) is proud to announce a new partnership with Musco Lighting to enhance the student-athlete and fan experience at member schools.
As Official and Exclusive Sports Lighting Provider, Musco will provide educational programming and other resources to raise awareness of lighting practices that help improve on-field safety and playability, heighten gameday atmosphere, expand field usage, and extend the longevity and lifetime value of their lighting systems.

First NFHS Flag Football Rules Publications Now Available

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 16, 2025) — The first rules publication for high school flag football – the nation’s fastest-growing emerging sport – is now available for purchase from the NFHS. The 2025-26 NFHS Flag Football Rules Book, and rules publications for six other fall sports, are available through the NFHS order fulfillment site at www.NFHS.com.

Goaltending and Basket Interference Addressed in 2025-26 Basketball Rules Changes

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 28, 2025) —
A trio of changes to address when goaltending and basket interference are called are among the changes to high school basketball rules for the 2025-26 season.
These revisions to the NFHS Basketball Rules Book are among the six changes recommended by the Basketball Rules Committee during its April 28-30 meeting in Indianapolis – all of which were subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors.

Dover, DE – June 2, 2025 – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) announces the 2025 DIAA Softball State Champion: the No. 2 seed Caravel Academy Buccaneers.
In a thrilling championship matchup held at the University of Delaware’s Delaware Diamond, Caravel Academy secured the state title with a 3-2 victory over the No. 12 seed Sussex Technical High School Ravens.
