Dover, DE – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) announces the winners of the 2025 DIAA DI & DII Dual Team Wrestling State Championships and recaps the thrilling semifinal matchups.
DIAA Division I Dual Team Wrestling State Championship
#1 Salesianum School defeated #3 Sussex Central High School with a final score of 43-28 to claim the Division I state title. Salesianum showcased resilience and power throughout the match, securing key victories that led to their championship win.

Player Equipment, Uniform Changes Among Revisions in High School Field Hockey Rules
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (February 12, 2025) — Two changes regarding player uniform and equipment were among the five revisions recommended by the NFHS Field Hockey Rules Committee at its January 13-15 meeting in Indianapolis. All recommended changes were subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors and take effect with the 2025 high school field hockey season.
In Rule 1-6-5 regarding face protection, the rules committee approved the option for players to wear a wire-caged face mask during a penalty corner. The new face protection language in Rule 1-6-5 reads as follows:

DIAA Extends Basketball Season Due to Weather-Related Cancellations

DOVER, DE – February 12, 2025 – Due to recent weather-related cancellations, the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) has extended the basketball season by one additional day to accommodate rescheduled games. The final day of competition will now be Thursday, February 20, 2025. As a result, the Basketball Seeding Committee Meetings have been adjusted as follows:

DIAA Releases Updated Schedule for 2025 Division I & II Dual Team Wrestling Championships
Dover, DE – February 11, 2025 – Due to pending inclement weather causing school closures, the DIAA Boys Wrestling Committee has adjusted the schedule for Round 1 of the DIAA Division I and Division II Dual Team Wrestling Championships. Round 1 will now take place on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the host schools at the originally scheduled time of 7:00pm. However, Smyrna High School has been granted permission to host its match against William Penn on Thursday, February 13, 2025, due to a scheduling conflict.
Saturday’s schedule will remain the same, provided all round 1 matches have been completed.

Dover, DE – February 9, 2025 – The DIAA Boys Wrestling Committee has selected the 8 teams that will be participating in the DIAA Division I Dual Team Wrestling Championship and 8 teams that will be participating in the DIAA Division II Dual Team Wrestling Championship. The tournament will feature the top high school wrestling teams from across the state competing for the coveted state championship titles.
