Girls Wrestling is one of the fastest-growing sports in Delaware, with more schools across the state adding programs each year. Currently classified as a Level 2 sport (see DIAA Regulation 1024, 8.0–8.3), Girls Wrestling is not yet a DIAA-sanctioned championship sport (Level 3), but continues to build momentum.

To support its growth and development, the DIAA Board of Directors established a dedicated Girls Wrestling Sport Committee. This committee is focused on expanding opportunities for female wrestlers and guiding the sport on its path toward becoming a fully sanctioned DIAA championship sport.
