DIAA Board of Directors Approves Division Alignment for 2025–2027 School Years
Dover, DE – April 16, 2025 –The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) Board of Directors approved the Division I and Division II school classifications for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 academic years at their meeting held on April 10, 2025.
In accordance with DIAA regulations, schools with a Delaware Department of Education (DOE) certified enrollment count for grades 9–12 equal to or greater than the smallest school in either the Blue Hen Conference Flight A or the Henlopen North Conference are classified as Division I. Coach Responsibility for Bench Decorum Reinforced in High School Soccer Rules Changes
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 5, 2025) — Beginning next school year, soccer head coaches may be warned, cautioned or ejected for misconduct committed by bench personnel in the team area. The increased responsibility of head coaches for team conduct highlights the 2025-26 high school soccer rules changes.
In all, six rules changes were recommended by the NFHS Soccer Rules Committee at its February 10-12 meeting in Indianapolis. All rules changes were reviewed and approved by the NFHS Board of Directors.

DIAA Unified Basketball Championship Matchup Set
DOVER, DE – March 3, 2025 – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) Unified Basketball Championship matchup is officially set following the semifinal round on Monday, March 3.
No. 4 Indian River defeated top-seeded Dover 38-24 to secure their place in the championship game. On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 Caesar Rodney claimed a 37-18 victory over No. 6 Appoquinimink to advance.
