2025 DIAA DI & DII Dual Team Wrestling State Champions Crowned
Dover, DE – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) announces the winners of the 2025 DIAA DI & DII Dual Team Wrestling State Championships and recaps the thrilling semifinal matchups.
DIAA Division I Dual Team Wrestling State Championship
#1 Salesianum School defeated #3 Sussex Central High School with a final score of 43-28 to claim the Division I state title. Salesianum showcased resilience and power throughout the match, securing key victories that led to their championship win.
DI Semifinals Results:
#1 Salesianum 59 – #5 William Penn 12
#3 Sussex Central 30 – #2 Caesar Rodney 26 – A down-to-the-wire battle saw Sussex Central edge out Caesar Rodney by just four points to advance.
Division II Dual Team Wrestling State Championship
The Division II championship match saw #1 Delaware Military Academy (DMA) capture the title with a 42-24 victory over #2 Saint Mark’s High School. DMA’s depth and strength across weight classes propelled them to victory in an intense championship bout.
DII Semifinals Results:
#1 DMA 69 vs #5 Indian River 12
#2 Saint Mark’s 39 vs #3 Laurel 38 – A nail-biting finish saw Saint Mark’s edge out Laurel by just one point to secure their place in the final.
