Saint Mark’s High School Repeats as 2021 DIAA Volleyball Champion

Dover, DE (Thursday, November 18, 2021) – On Monday night at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware, #1 Saint Mark’s High School was crowned as DIAA Volleyball Champions for the second straight year.  The Spartans had a rematch of the 2020 championship game against familiar foe, #2 Padua Academy.  Saint Mark’s defeated Padua 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-18) to win their 12th Volleyball State Championship since 1985.  Saint Mark’s won their 11 previous state titles in 1985, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2006, 2010, 2011, and 2020.

Padua Academy finished as the state finalist for the 2nd straight year.

In the best out of three consolation match, the #5 seed Newark Charter School defeated #6 Wilmington Friends, 2-1 (18-25, 27-25, 15-13).
