DIAA Volleyball Finals Return to the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware

Dover, DE (November 10, 2021) – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) announced today that the Volleyball Finals are returning to the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware, for the first time since 2019.  The volleyball finals were not played at the Bob Carpenter Center in 2020 due to the COVID-19 health pandemic.  The Volleyball Championship will be played on Monday, November 15, 2021 with the consolation game starting at 5:30pm and the finals starting at 6:30pm.  All tickets must be purchased online and there are no cash sales at the event. Fans interested in attending the finals need to be aware of the University of Delaware’s indoor athletic event policies and procedures as listed below.  Tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, November 12th.  Tickets to the event cost $8.00.
All attendees at University of Delaware’s home indoor athletic events ages 12 and older, must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR coronavirus test taken within 72 hours of the event. “Full vaccination” means that guests have received their final COVID-19 vaccine dose at least 14 days in advance of the day of the game. Authentic proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test will be accepted as long as the test was taken within 72 hours of the day of the game through a medical or accredited company; please note that “at home tests” will not be accepted.
The University of Delaware has developed a digital system to allow external visitors to upload their COVID-19 vaccination or negative PCR COVID-19 test results before attending a UD-sponsored event.  The Visitor Events Health Pass replaces the need for visitors to show paper copies or photo images of vaccination or test records when entering an event. The pass is integrated with the online UD Daily Health Check. To expedite event entry, fans should visit covidcheck.udel.edu in advance of event day and upload your proof of vaccine or negative test to the Visitor Events Health Pass, fill out the UD Daily Health Check on the day of the game, and show your green event ticket at the gate for entry.  Fans wishing to show paper copies or photo images of vaccination or test records can still do so, in combination with a green check mark from the UD Daily Health Check, for entry at the event.
All guests are required to wear masks at all indoor UD facilities, including at Volleyball matches, Swimming and Diving meets, and Basketball games.
