DIAA 2023 Winter Championships Site Announcement
Dover, DE (February 21, 2023) – Sites have been announced for the upcoming Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) winter sport championships for individual wrestling, swimming and diving, boys and girls basketball and unified basketball.
The DIAA Swimming and Diving Championships will be held at the University of Delaware Carpenter Sports Building .
2023 DIAA Swimming and Diving Meet Schedule:
Tuesday, February 21 – 7:00pm Diving Preliminaries (McKean HS)
Wednesday, February 22 – 6:00pm Girls Swimming Preliminaries
Thursday, February 23 – 6:00pm Boys Swimming Preliminaries
Saturday, February 25 – 11:00am Girls Swimming and Diving Finals, 6:00pm Boys Swimming and Diving Finals

Student athlete participants will be permitted to purchase 2 tickets each. Student athletes should contact the athletic director at their school for ticket link to purchase tickets. There will be limited general admission tickets available for each swimming session. Tickets will be available for purchase through GoFan. Ticket cost is $10.00 each session. The meet will be livestreamed on NFHSNetwork for fans to watch live.
The DIAA 2023 Individual Wrestling Championship will be held on March 3rd – 4th at Cape Henlopen High School. Session One Preliminary Round will begin on Friday, March 3rd at 4pm. The second consolation round will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, March 4th. The fifth place round will begin at 5:00pm on Saturday, March 4th with the championship finals to follow. The DIAA Wrestling Committee will meet on Sunday, February 26th to seed the championship and the brackets will be released. The brackets and other championship information will be posted on the DIAA Wrestling sport page. Live meet results will be available on TrackWrestling throughout the championship and it will also be streamed on NFHSNetwork.
Tickets will be available for purchase through GoFan on February 26st and ticket prices are as follows:
Session One: $5.00
Session Two: $6.00
Session Three: $7.00
No cash tickets will be sold onsite and all tickets must be purchased through GoFan.
The 2023 DIAA Basketball Championships semifinal and final rounds will be held at the University of Delaware March 8th – 11th. The DIAA Unified Sports Committee will meet on Thursday, February 23rd to seed the unified basketball tournament while the DIAA boys and girls basketball committees will meet on Friday, February 24th at 9am. Tickets will be available for purchase through GoFan after the seeding meetings and more information will be available once the brackets are released.
Media
Only media with current and issued DIAA 2022-2023 media credentials will be permitted entry to events. Media should contact DIAA in advance to request live broadcast at any event. DIAA will notify member schools when requests have been approved.
For state tournaments, broadcast request media should contact the executive director.

DIAA is proud to be a recipient of the Delaware Division of Public Health’s Tobacco Prevention Community Contract. Funding for the Contract is provided by the Delaware Health Fund and managed by the American Lung Association in Delaware.
