2023 DIAA Dual-Team Wrestling Brackets and Championship Information

Dover, DE (February 12, 2023) – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) and the Wrestling Committee released its official 2023 Dual Wrestling Championship brackets.  Sussex Central High School earned the #1 seed for Division I while Caravel Academy earned the #1 seed for Division II. 

2023 Dual-Team Wrestling Championship Brackets

The championship quarterfinals round kicks off on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.  The higher seeded team will host a 7pm match.  Semifinal and Final matches are scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Smyrna High School.  The Division II semifinal match begins at 2pm and Division I starts at 4pm.  The finals matches for both Division I and II will start at 6pm.  All site locations and times are listed on the bracket.

The Division I and Division II tournament fields are comprised of two qualifying champions and six at-large teams.  

DI Conference Champions: Sussex Central, William Penn

DI At-large teams: Cape Henlopen, Caesar Rodney, Salesianum, Smyrna, St. Georges, Wilmington Charter 

DII Conference Champions: Laurel, McKean 

DII At-large teams: Caravel, DMA, Lake Forest, Red Lion, Saint Mark’s, Tower Hill

Live Streaming

NFHSNetwork is the livestreaming partner of the DIAA Championship.  Livestream information for quarterfinal matches will be posted by the host site.  Saturday’s DIAA Dual-team semifinal and finals will be livestreamed on NFHSNetwork.  Match results will be available throughout the championship on TrackWrestling.

Media

Media with current and official DIAA 2022-2023 media credentials will be permitted entry to championship events.   

Division of Public Health’s Tobacco Prevention Educational Campaign through DIAA

DIAA is proud to be a recipient of the Delaware Division of Public Health’s Tobacco Prevention Community Contract. Funding for the Contract is provided by the Delaware Health Fund and managed by the American Lung Association in Delaware.
