Nomination Statement

“Son of Jobayer Hossain and Mosammat Tanbin of New Castle, Araf Jahin is a passionate, dedicated, and hardworking student. Araf is currently ranked at the top of his graduating class with a 4.4 GPA. As a National Honor Society mention, Araf is empathetic to students who struggle. He has dedicated his time to tutor peers in mathematics and science. Throughout high school, he was a contributing member of the Speech and Debate Club, Math League, Computer Science Club, Future Medical Professionals of America, and Science Olympiad. In the future, Araf plans to become a physician with a strong background in mathematics and computer science to combat complicated medical problems.”

I find the greatest pleasure in gaining insight and making changes that transform our lives. Driven by making a difference in the lives of sick people, my goal is to become a physician with a background in computing and modeling.”
