Nomination Statement

“Samantha Sordi is the kind of student that makes teaching easy. Even though mastery of content and skills comes easily to her, she continues to push herself beyond teacher expectations in order to grow as a person. She has an exemplary work ethic and serves as a positive role model for her peers. In addition to her academic accomplishments, she is involved in several activities in her community and is actively working to make our world a better place. There is no doubt that she will go on to accomplish great things and impact the lives of others.”

“When curiosity sparks, my hunger for knowledge fuels it into a flame. In my opinion, school is not about grades or accolades, but rather the material, the journey of learning, and the development of new skills and perspectives. Through trial and error, I have learned if not successful at first, I can perserve and seek guidance. Although it’s normal to not have all the answers, I will never stop inquiring and searching for them. With an open mind, and a willingness to learn, to ask questions as well as to share my experiences with those around me, I am inspired to excel.”
