Nomination Statement

“The daughter of John and Pamela Zucaro, Katherine Zucaro has earned a rank of second in her class while taking a very rigorous schedule. A compassionate and open-minded leader, she is the senior class vice president, and has been involved in soccer, indoor track, cross-country, and is a four-year member of our NHS Marching Band. Katie is a member of National Honor Society and Business Professionals of America. A Cambridge Scholar, she has taken 10 AP courses while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 4.514. She plans to study bio-medical engineering and then go to medical school to become a surgeon.”

“Growing up with both of my parents being engineers, I have always had a desire to pursue a higher education. From a young age, I was aware of the hard work and dedication I would have to face to achieve my goal. But over time, I also discovered my desire to become an engineer stemmed from my wish to make a beneficial difference in other people’s lives, and with this contribute to a new wave of innovation.”
