Nomination Statement
Cole Barnyak is the son of Trish and Mark Barnyak of Wilmington. Cole is a dedicated and kind leader of his community. Cole ranks second in his class, with a weighted GPA of 4.549. Cole has participated in theater throughout his entire high school career, including student directing and running the one act festival. He enjoys spending time with his friends and trying new foods. Cole plans to major in computer science, although he hasn’t committed to a school as of yet.
“I wouldn't have worked nearly as hard for my success if it weren't for the loving support of both of my parents and my sister. They have kept me grounded and motivated throughout my life, and I couldn't thank them enough for helping me get where I am today. Additionally, thanks to all of my teachers, especially Mrs. Wilt, Ms. Timlin, Mr. Smeader, and Mr. Gibbons, for making me want to come to school every day and do my best.”
