Nomination Statement
Rodeeish Balkaran is this year's valedictorian. Rodeeish is actively involved in the school community and has qualified for BPA nationals every year since 9th grade. He is secretary of National Honors Society and consistently earns over a 4.0GPA despite taking an incredibly rigorous course load. On top of all his extracurriculars, he finds time to regularly volunteer in his community. He even attended the Governor's School for Excellence in 2024. Although Rodeeish has not decided where he will attend college, he plans to major in the biological sciences.
“I am a senior at Odyssey Charter School and hope to study biological sciences next year in college. After college, I plan to attend physician assistant school. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the gym, participating in BPA, cooking and listening to music. My favorite musical genres are R&B and rap with my favorite artists being Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker and Lil Durk.”
