Nomination Statement
Zoe is a personable, dedicated, proactive, and conscientious student. She is always 100 percent invested in everything she is participates in. Zoe is ranked second of out 135 students in her class. She has a 5.23 weighted GPA and a 4.0 unweighted GPA. Zoe has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in various ways over the years including, leading her band class in preparation for performances when the teacher was out sick, as the vice president of Dickinson’s National Honor Society, and as a Girl Scout Ambassador. Zoe plans to study mathematics and score composition.
“In all pursuits, academic and artistic, I am inspired by my experiences finding my home in music. Learning from a young age that I can achieve great things, but only through diligent practice, and that the orchestra around me can pull me up, but only if I pull others up too has shaped the principles by which I live. Music has taught me to work towards not just success, but also fulfillment, craftsmanship, and the triumphs of my community.”
