Nomination Statement
Shi-anne Reams-Bennett is an exceptional scholar who has made a significant impact at Freire Wilmington. As the executive board vice president for the Student Government Association, Shi-anne has demonstrated remarkable leadership and dedication to improving her school community. As cheer captain, she inspires her teammates and creates a positive environment at games. With 10 college acceptances and more than $800,000 in scholarships, her academic achievements are impressive. Shi-anne's hard work and dedication are an inspiration to her peers and teachers. She is a shining example of the best of our school, and we are proud to call her a Freire Dragon.
“I've worked hard to make my school a better place. My greatest accomplishment at Freire is the positive impact I've had on my community as part of our SGA and cheerleading team this year. Thanks to my family, friends, and teachers for supporting me. I hope to continue making a difference as I continue my academic career in college next year.”
