Nomination Statement
Eric Ray, son of Oribel and Eric Ray, is a responsible and hardworking student that aims for the best in all that he does. He balances school and work, while maintaining outstanding grades and being an excellent worker as a Starbucks barista. He’s a member of the Smyrna High School National Honor Society. He has shadowed a neurosurgeon at the Christiana Hospital multiple times in hopes of working in the operating room as a physician assistant. In the fall, he will be attending University of Delaware majoring in medical diagnostics (pre-physician assistant).
“I personally feel my goals and the need to be successful are what strives me to do my best. I’m always competing against myself by having standards already established before performing a task. With this, I try to at least meet the standard, but excelling it is the desired goal. I feel that I am my own inspiration because as a I continue in life, I will keep doing the best for myself.”
