Nomination Statement
Ivaneli Portuguez-Valle is the daughter of Madeline Valle-Baez and Jose Portuguez-Reyes. She is ranked first in her graduating class with a current cumulative GPA of 4.766. Ivaneli is currently enrolled in AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, AP Calculus, English Honors, and Advanced 3-D Art. She is actively involved in McKean’s student government. Ivaneli is currently weighing her acceptances at several top-ranked universities.
“My motivation comes from my educational experiences. The academic goals I have for myself have always involved achieving the highest level of capability to perform the best I can in everything I do. I have always put faith in the hands of my God, family, and my teachers to lead me in the right direction. They have constantly reminded me of what’s important and convinced me that I can be anything I want to be.”
