Nomination Statement
Caroline Ricketts is a dedicated student who is ranked first in her class with a 4.5 GPA. She is such a committed student that she has taken two dual enrollment courses and is enrolled in English and math through the Academic Challenge Program. Additionally, she has been a dedicated member of the marching band for the past six years, serving as the woodwind captain in her most recent season. Caroline is undecided on which college she will commit to, but she will be double majoring in neuroscience and mathematics to pursue a career in neuroscience research.
“My mother has always been my biggest inspiration. Growing up, I watched my mom battle her autoimmune disorder all while putting on a brave face and educating me and her many students. My mom's bravery and dedication to education in the face of her disorder always reminds me that I am capable of academic greatness no matter what obstacles I may face.”
