Nomination Statement
Daughter of Rajesh and Yogita Royal of Newark, Shivi is ranked at the top of her graduating class with a 4.596 cumulative GPA. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Math League, Science Olympiad, and Student Government. Shivi participated on the tennis team for four years, and she has been a volunteer peer tutor for two years. Shivi has not decided on what college she will attend in the fall, but she will pursue a degree in applied mathematics.
“To begin, I would like to acknowledge my parents who support my studies and encourage me to always keep learning. Secondly, I want to recognize the Appoquinimink School District for providing students with many extracurricular activities. Due to the opportunities available, I was able to achieve highly in Odyssey of the Mind, Math League, Science Olympiad, and intrastate tennis matches. With continued support, I hope to excel in my prospective field of applied mathematics.”
