Nomination Statement
Oscar Acuna Aguilar, the son of Octavio Acuna and Alma Aguilar, is valedictorian and excels academically. He is also very active in extra-curricular activities, including lacrosse, the National Honor Society, Multiplying Good, Rho Kappa NHS, and Math League. Oscar plans to attend college next year, and is currently considering a number of options that are available to him. He is excited to inspire others around him, and to accomplish good in the world, both during and after college.
“If I could attribute my success to one person, it would be my little brother. His unwavering support along with his competitive nature have only pushed me to try harder. Furthermore, I have always been able to turn to him, whether I was bored or needed someone to talk to, he was always there for me. Becoming someone I hope he can be proud of is my aspiration.”
