Nomination Statement
Lindsey is an outstanding student at Woodbridge High School whose academic excellence and character distinguish her among her peers. An exceptionally strong writer with keen attention to detail, she consistently produces thorough, high-quality work and thoughtfully applies feedback to grow as a learner. Lindsey has been an exceptional member of our Teacher Academy program, demonstrating creativity, humility, and kindness toward others. A talented visual storyteller, she approaches every opportunity with dedication. Lindsey plans to attend Delaware Technical and Community College to begin her path toward a career in the medical field, where we are confident she will continue to excel.
“Throughout my academic years, my mother was my biggest motivator for success in education. She'd consistently ask about my schoolwork: 'Do you have homework today?' 'What did you score on the test?' Initially, it felt like a burden, but I soon realized she was looking out for me and my future. I wanted to show her that I could accomplish anything, no matter the time and effort required. Despite any obstacle encountered, she’s always on my side supporting my decisions.”
