Nomination Statement
Son of Ashley Johnson and Montavius Johnson,s Hasaan Ervin Jr. is a hard-working and optimistic student. Hasaan is a leader at Freire, as he embraces daily our college preparatory and critical-thinking centered mission. Hasaan has a 4.07 GPA and is taking a full course load of Advanced Placement and honor classes. He has participated in several activities such as our Student Ambassadors, student government as the senior class president, leader of our peer mediation team and Social Media Club creating positive social media content alongside his peers. After Freire, Hasaan will attend Clark Atlanta University majoring in finance.

My commitment to my future goals are grounded in my parent’s strong values that they have poured into me, which I am grateful for. My self-accountability has been a consistent factor in my success, alongside the strong connections with my peers who motivated me.”
