Nomination Statement
Determined to live up to his parents' values of sacrifice, hard work and determination, Brian Song ranks No. 1 in his class, holds leadership positions for school clubs, and participates in many other extracurricular activities. Brian has excelled in athletics as a varsity athlete on the soccer and golf teams, earning student-athlete awards and accolades. He is also a 2025-26 Kent County Youth Philanthropy Board Member, showing his civic side. Upon graduation, Brian will attend a five-year accelerated physician's assistant program at DeSales University.
“My motivation comes from my parents' sacrifices and support. They left South Korea for a new life in the U.S. Although there were setbacks in the English language, they never gave up. My mom persevered to become a registered nurse, and my father opened his own business. My parents have been endlessly supportive and strove to give me the best life possible. With all the sacrifices they made for me, how could I not give 100% in everything I do?”
