Nomination Statement
Tristan Bower-Moore, son of Crystal Bower and Thomas Moore of Wilmington, is a dedicated student, athlete, and community volunteer. He is currently ranked first in his graduating class, boasting an impressive 4.09 cumulative GPA. Tristan is also a varsity basketball and volleyball player and an active member of the National Honor Society. Despite his busy schedule, Tristan finds time to volunteer in both his school and local community, and he also works during summers and weekends. Tristan plans to pursue a degree in computer science.
“Growing up I struggled academically in elementary and middle school, but high school was my turning point. In my freshman year, I made the decision to focus on myself and my academics. I continued to push myself to grow, embracing challenges with determination. Through hard work and perseverance, I've become more independent, and my family's support has been instrumental in my journey. I am proud of how far I've come and excited for what lies ahead.”
