Nomination Statement
Daughter of Sean and Katie Kenney, Molly Kenney is a driven and devoted student. She is ranked first in her graduating class with a cumulative 4.0-grade point average. She dominates in her Advanced Placement courses, calculus and physics, and her two dual-enrollment classes, sociology and hospitality. She devotes her spare time to her community through numerous volunteer activities and her clubs, Interact and National Honor Society. Molly excels in her athletic career as a three-sport varsity athlete; she plays field hockey, lacrosse, and unified basketball. Molly's post-secondary plans are to attend a four-year university and major in international affairs.
“As a scholar, athlete, and friend, my sister has influenced my life most dramatically. She is a constant reminder to find the beauty in the poor moments and to take a breath when things get hard. I have always aimed for perfection, and my sister encourages me to stay positive when I do not meet this impossible standard. Her perception of life has caused me to become more light-hearted and overall joyful, and I am so grateful for her influence.”
