Nomination Statement
Daughter of Shuyu Chen and Hengyu Zhu, Sherly Zhu is hardworking and dedicated. She is an International Baccalaureate Diploma student and currently has a 4.67 cumulative grade point average. Sherly is actively involved in the school community as a member of the Math League, TSA, BPA, Interact Club and Philosophy Club. While she has not yet decided on the college she will attend, she intends to major in computer science and mathematics. Her ultimate career goal is to conduct research in data science.
“Simple things in life inspire and motivate me. For example, I appreciate my mom's home cooked dinners because they remind me of my childhood and my family's love and support for me. I want to work hard to pave a path for future generations of my family. I am also inspired by the beauty of the world around me. I want to travel to different countries and experience different cultures.”
