Nomination Statement
Rosevanny Ibarra-Sosa is the daughter of Virgen and Juan Ibarra. She is a motivated and ambitious student. She has participated in Math League, Science Olympiad, and Quiz Bowl. Rosevanny has maintained over a 4.0 GPA and works as a pharmacy tech at Walgreens. She will be a first-generation college student at Delaware State University majoring in chemistry with the goal of becoming a pharmacist.
“As a child, I was raised with an exceptional support system that was provided to me by my parents, siblings, and close friends. With every challenge and obstacle that I faced, no matter what, I always had someone, or multiple people, beside me to help guide me or simply encourage me to continue working at them. This encouragement built up my motivation to continue to work hard on myself- both as a person and on my academics throughout the years.”
