Nomination Statement
Macy Sapna, daughter of Scott and Shannon Sapna, ranks at the top of her class as an outstanding student completing a rigorous curriculum that includes Advanced Placement, dual enrollment, and technical health care courses. Macy is the captain of the pom-pom squad and vice president of the student government association. She has contributed time and effort to community service organizations, such as Special Olympics, 4-H Health and Wellness Ambassador program, and a mentoring program at a local elementary school. Macy plans to attend college and pursue an advanced degree to become a speech-language pathologist.
“Throughout the years, I have always focused on the fact that anything worth doing is worth doing well. I give 110% on everything I do, because you get out what you put in. I believe in the power of a smile and helping others because of the positive effect those two things have on me and those around me. I strive to be the best version of myself, and my friends and family have always encouraged me to do so.”
