Nomination Statement
Karla Saldana-Hernandez is a friendly, active member of her senior class at Woodbridge High School where she is ranked 5th in her class. When Karla is not participating in the classroom, she is a dedicated and passionate member of the Woodbridge High School’s theater company, marching band, and select ensemble. Karla serves as the senior class president and is involved in various activities where she holds leadership roles including being the student representative for the school board. Karla plans to attend the University of Delaware and major in communications.
“Throughout my entire life, my parents have always inspired me to do well in all aspects of life. They made many sacrifices in order for me to succeed, and I did not want their sacrifices to go to waste. Everything I have achieved so far is for my future. That is another reason why I am inspired to do well. It is very important to me to achieve my goals in order to have a stable and balanced life.”
