Nomination Statement
Ellisyn is a stellar student with exceptional character. She is the daughter of Jim and Whitney Arthur. Ellisyn holds a grade point average of a 104.3 and is a member of the National Honor Society. In addition to her strong academics, Ellisyn is involved in sports and community service. Ellisyn is also a world class student athlete, she participates in field hockey, golf, and soccer. She volunteers her time with the Down Syndrome Association in the summers. She is a force in the classroom, field and community. Ellisyn plans to attend Boston College and will major in finance or psychology.
“To not mention my parents as inspirations for my success would be a disservice to them and everything they’ve encouraged me to do. Growing up, I constantly saw the strong work ethic and ambition they displayed, not only through their careers but in everyday life. Further inspiration rises from the possibilities of the future: attaining my goals, being successful for not only myself, but those around me, and being a role model for my sister drives me forward every day.”
