Nomination Statement
The daughter of Terra Taylor and Sean McCleary, Alyssa McCleary is a strong-willed and dedicated student. With a 99.44 GPA, Alyssa is ranked third in her graduating class of 503 seniors. Alyssa is a leader in TSA and Student Council, a National Honor Society member, and heavily involved with the engineering technology program. Alyssa stands out as a highly proficient STEM student. She is dedicated to outperforming her competition and further developing her skills to contend in a challenging environment. After high school, Alyssa plans on attending the University of Delaware to major in computer programming.
“The journey from McIlvaine to Caesar Rodney High School was a constant road of self-discovery and individuality. The Caesar Rodney School District has supported me through the hardships of navigating through monumental milestones like establishing my personal interests, finding academic success, and learning social awareness. However, my loving family and friends are my true motivators. They taught me that I'm not just the entirety of my accomplishments, but instead, I'm how I treat myself and others in every situation.”
