Nomination Statement
Daughter of Ferdinand Aquino, Allison is ranked second in her graduating class with a GPA of 4.489 at the end of her junior year. Allison has been part of Best Buddies, HOSA as vice president, current secretary of National Honor Society and FCCLA. Allison has competed in competitions with HOSA and FCCLA. She has received Athlete of Promise Award and HOSA Awards. She also has volunteered at John Hopkins and is an advocate for cardiac arrest prevention. Allison aspires to attend a four-year college to become a registered nurse working in pediatric oncology.
“For as long as I can remember, I have always had an extremely driven personality and a desire to challenge myself. These qualities were encouraged by my parents, who themselves had to face adversity as first-generation immigrants, and thus, always supported my endeavors. My mom especially was an incredible motivator for me throughout times of self-doubt. Even after losing her this past year, she continues to be my biggest inspiration for reaching my goals.”
