Nomination Statement
Aevyn Koczera, daughter of Lacey Leatherwood and Peter Koczera of Newark, serves as Dickinson's National Honor Society president and captain of the girls’ tennis team. She is also a member of the volleyball team. She is an excellent leader and valued friend by her peers. Aevyn ranks at the top of her class - having excelled academically while pursing the International Baccaleaurate Program - and took the most number of IB classes available. Aevyn plans to major in international business.
“What inspired me to do well in school was my own high expectations for myself. I achieve to be the best I can be in everything I do, including my academics and sports. I take my future seriously and I aspire to be successful and learn the most I can. I am excited to further my education and gain experience in business and international travel.”
