Nomination Statement
Abigail Pierre-Louis, daughter of Marica and Nixon Pierre-Louis, is a motivated individual who strives to contribute nothing but her all in any and every thing she does. She serves as the secretary of her senior class, as well as the treasurer of the National Honor Society. She expresses her love of music through her participation in the SHS Regiment of Red Marching Band and Smyrna High School Choir. She nurtures her interests by participating in the Health Occupations Students of America. In the fall, she will pursue her academic interests at Johns Hopkins University, majoring in neuroscience."
“If there are no roads to travel on, pave them yourself.’ This phrase has motivated me to strive beyond what I thought was possible for me; that even if there were obstacles in my path, there are plenty other ways to achieve them. I taught myself that if society makes it seem that some paths aren’t conventional enough to reach a goal, to be unconventional. This motivates me to always try and exceed expectations, through academics or everyday living.”
