Nomination Statement

“Daughter of Marc and Christine Olley of Selbyville. Maddison is a motivated and hardworking student. She currently ranks 2nd in her graduating class with a grade point average of 4.63. She has participated in several extracurricular activities including the National Honor Society, Leo Club, EnviroAct Club, Health Occupational Students of America and competitive cheerleading. Maddison also participated in the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Delaware Conference and was a junior assistant cheerleading coach. In the fall, Maddison plans to attend the University of Maryland or the University of Tampa and major in neuroscience.”

“I have several areas to which I can attribute my educational success. I have always been raised to honor the importance of education, to which I’ve learned lifetime traits of diligence, accountability, and persistence. My parents consistently supported my educational and personal growth, encouraging my participation in programs such as EXCEL, All Star Cheerleading, Academic Challenge, and Advanced Placement courses. I fervently believe that my participation in service, extracurriculars, and educational programs has emphasized the importance of expanding my experiences.”
