Anna Stancofski

Cape Henlopen High School

Nomination Statement

“Daughter of Erik and Hiba Stancofski of Lewes, Anna is a hardworking, outgoing and compassionate young woman. Ranked at the top of her class with a 4.168 cumulative grade point average. Her leadership is evident as class president, she has earned countless honors and awards in the classroom and on the athletic field. One of her most rewarding experiences is volunteering with Atlantic Adaptive Lacrosse. She is also a three-sport athlete: field hockey, swim and lacrosse. Anna has applied to and been accepted at several colleges and universities but has not made a decision at this time.”

“I am inspired by failure. When I try my best and still fail, I encourage myself to learn from my mistakes and try even harder the next time around. Eventually, my efforts lead to success and remind me of how much hard work pays off. Failure hurts, but without it, I know I wouldn’t be as motivated to work so hard towards success, and I know said success wouldn’t feel nearly as rewarding.”
