Nomination Statement

“Passion is the essential drive that makes Alex a great student-athlete. Passion has provided him with the dedication to work hard; reaching for higher goals. He has cultivated a strong background in math and physics. He has competed successfully in many contests, winning several national and state distinctions. One of Alex’s most cherished achievements is his acceptance into the Research Science Institute hosted by MIT. Alex loves to also compete in the game of baseball. He led the team to playoffs in the State Tournament as Captain and was named to the All-State Baseball Team.”

“I am the president of Math Club and Physics Club, Leader of Math League, and captain of the varsity baseball team, earning All-State Honorable Mention. I am a National Merit Scholarship Winner and qualified for the USA Mathematical Olympiad and earned Honorable Mention on the USA Physics Olympiad. I also volunteer at sports camps, compete for the Lehigh ARML Team, and studied applied mathematics at the Research Science Institute at MIT. This fall, I will study Mathematics at Princeton University.”
